On-Site Assessment/Assistance:

Hands-on approach to organizing, and developing a system for the proper completion of driver files (qualification, conduct, hours of service monitoring) as well a maintenance files.

Instruction and recommendations given to staff regarding scope and effectiveness of in-house log auditing.

Training of carrier staff members in order to ensure good working knowledge of issues relevant to monitoring driver compliance and fleet on-road safety performance.

Log Auditing:

Monthly log auditing for drivers using TDSM system. Carrier is provided with monthly log audit summaries as well as management reports. Log audits include covering letter to driver for general information, as well as copies of log sheets which clearly indicate problem areas for easy reference for staff members during remedial training sessions with drivers.

If required, E & B Safety Consulting will attend driver meeting to explain on-going problems and possible long-term ramifications should problems not be corrected in a timely basis.

Facility Audits

Audit will be conducted in similar fashion to that of Ministry facility audit. Audit will consist of on-site review of driver daily logs, vehicle maintenance files, pre-trip reports and supporting documentation. Review of current Level II CVOR Abstract and SafeStat Report and previous facility audit findings. Report will include audit findings, analysis of effectiveness of current company practices as well as recommendations will be provided.

Representation during MTO, DOT Facility Audit

Attendance on-site during Facility Audit to assist client in complying with reasonable Ministry/DOT requests for documentation and assisting client throughout audit process.

Representation & Preparation for MTO Interviews, Show Cause Hearings

Detailed review of company’s past performance in facility audits, 5 year on-road safety performance analysis, and determination of key problem areas. Preparation and implementation of Action Plan as well as on-going monitoring of company on-road safety performance to ensure compliance with Ministry imposed conditions.
